Effect of Rain-Fed Conditions on Yield of Mash Bean Genepool by Using Augmented Design

Abstract The augmented block design (ABD) is commonly used in breeding programs to evaluate the performance of large number genotypes using non-replicated new test treatments and replicated check treatments. purpose this determine which treatment performs better than objective study identifying genotype Mash been under rain feed condition Pakistan. For purpose, data 125 mash included 5 entries were analyzed. experiment was conducted 6 blocks Pakistan different attribute recorded. analysis showed that effects (adjusted) are significant for all attributes. However, other seeds/pod, adjusted non-significant, indicating evaluated homogeneous. Only three principal components considered, first component explained 33.85% variation 21.85%, 17.51% by PC2 PC3 respectively season whereas second 33.62%, 23.43%, 16. 86% described with respect first, second, third components. First PC designated as a productivity, pod appearance while designed physical appearances. All attributes positive association attributes, only significantly negative among pods/plant and100-seeds weight.
